Wonderful office atmosphere. Staff is amazing. My teeth REALLY needed a cleaning and Shona worked so hard on it. Such a great job! I feel a million times better. Need to go back to take care of a few issues and am so excited to have them taking care of my dental needs.
I have been seeing dentists for over 70 years and Dr. Raiffe is the best I’ve ever had. His work is excellent, which is enough to recommend him. But in addition, he is a genuinely nice person and treats me like a valued patient.
Great experience at Shea Dental of Scottsdale. Josh and his staff are incredibly friendly and do a great job of explaining the process they use during appointments and recommendations for better oral health. Super clean office and top of the line equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions, Answered!
Whether you have a question regarding your first visit or the cost of your care, don’t hesitate to give us a call so a member of our team can help! You can also read on to learn the answers to FAQs, including how to find the best place to get dental work done.
How do I find the best place to get dental work done?
Patients often assume that the first step is hopping on Google. However, there’s something you need to do before that: determine what’s important to you as a patient. Are you looking for a holistic dentist in your area? Are you looking for an office that welcomes your dental insurance? Are you looking for a practice that offers a specific treatment you’re interested in, like Invisalign? Determining the answers to questions like these will make the process of finding the best place to get dental work done significantly easier.
Our team at Shea Dental is led by holistic dentists who offer several financial solutions and provide a wide range of treatment options – from routine cleaning and clear aligners to emergency dentistry. So, if those are things you’re looking for, you’re in the right place!
How do I get emergency dental care?
If you’ve sustained a serious dental injury, like a knocked-out tooth, or you’re dealing with warning signs of trouble, like bleeding gums, don’t hesitate to give us a call! We offer same-day appointments in urgent situations. Plus, if that’s not necessary, we can still schedule a visit within the next few days and let you know what to do in the meantime. That way, the entire process is as stress-free (and pain-free!) as possible.
Important reminder: You should call 911 or head to the ER if you are experiencing potentially life-threatening symptoms, like uncontrollable bleeding.
How much does a dental checkup & cleaning cost in Scottsdale?
Patients often assume that there’s a flat fee; however, there are several factors that will influence the cost of your routine checkup and cleaning. For instance, do you have dental insurance? If you do, there’s a good chance that your provider will cover 100% of the cost. If you joined our in-house savings plan, then two professional cleanings and two regular exams are included too!
Ultimately, if you have any questions about the cost of your care, the best thing to do is give us a call. That way, we can provide you with an estimate.
What level of education is required to be a dentist?
Becoming a dentist is no easy feat. After obtaining their undergraduate degree, the aspiring dentist must be accepted to an accredited dental school (there are only 67 of them in the US!). Once accepted, they must complete three years of rigorous training both in and outside of the classroom. Even once they’ve earned their dental doctorate, their studies are far from over because they need to complete continuing education hours each year to maintain their license.
